We are Jeremy Hernandez and Celyna Lucero, the proud owners of A1T Productions & Photography We look forward to sharing our story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know us better.

Growing up, schooling and education was never really my forte. I could wait to get out. So, straight out of high school, I began making YouTube videos about gaming and technology, which is where I rediscovered my passion for learning and went back to school to take photography and videography classes. The rest, as they say, is history.

I technically established A1T Productions & Photography in 2017. However, I bring a lot of experience and knowledge to the table, and I am committed to perfection.

Over the years since my initiation into photography and video production, things have changed considerably. Today, I have a family and a great team behind me. My amazing wife and partner are also significant assets, without whom nothing would be possible.

I enjoy the uncertain aspects of what I do. You never know what’s going to happen next. There are so many aspects of this business, and you can try to prepare for everything, but the unexpected always seems to show up. I also love knowing that my clients are getting a creative, beautiful memory that I could help them capture and thrive on the fact that my work will live on forever. My business philosophy is to create, design, and inspire.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my values and commitment to family. I focus on offering a valuable service rather than money.

I attribute my success to surrounding myself with amazing people and loyal clientele. My beautiful wife is supportive of my dreams. My dad is the wisest person I know, and without him, I wouldn't have a business as he helps with all aspects of the company, financials and all. I also learn from my peers, interns, and clients.

When I am not at work, I love spending time with our dog, Mace. My wife and I are huge Disney and Star Wars fans, so we often go to the parks. I also enjoy video games and Legos.

THE GOOD CAN COME FROM THE BAD

As a videographer, it can not be said enough, be prepared for anything. Now I know this saying is not only used in the production world, and I’m not saying that’s the only time you should be prepared for anything. It’s just my experience has proven that this is a necessary step for any one new or old to the production world. However sometimes things just don’t work out at all the way they were expected to.

Now Jeremy and I always do our best to be prepared for anything and if we do forget something, we try to always do the best we can with what we have.

Story time: a few days ago we had planned to go shoot a beautiful couple engagement photos in a park called the wetlands. I know being called the wetlands we should expect it to be wet. However Vegas weather has always had a mind of it’s own. So, it started pouring on us, not at all what we expected especially after checking the weather multiple times throughout the days and weeks before the shoot. So we try to readjust to fit the weather. Thinking wed be okay, we pull out the umbrellas and water proof anything we can. Only to realize the bride to be will freeze in the icy rain in a sleeveless dress and no jacket. Thus the bride had to call it off and reschedule the shoot for the next best possible date and we are all eagerly awaiting it.

It sucked that we had to reschedule but it ended up being for the better. Jeremy and I stayed out in the rain to scout for better locations and to test out some of our new gear. And I can’t tell you how happy I am that we did that. We found some beautiful new places to explore and even better photo spots than we had before. We are now more confident that the photos are going to turn out better than before for the beautiful future mr. and mrs..

Sometimes you just have to trust that everything is going to be okay and remember that’s it’s always better to have a positive attitude even when things change or don’t go the way you planned.

I really hope this message helps someone to think and breathe before they react. Things might not go as planned but your attitude about it will affect your work and your ability to get future work. You never know what good things can come out of a bad situation.

Think, breathe, believe. Everything will be okay.

BEAUTY IS EVERYTHING

For not being a social person, I do a lot of talking to people. Mostly those being photographed, I make the models comfortable and pose them which can get pretty awkward. Overall i just don’t think I'm the biggest fan of doing photo shoots, to me they are just the same boring repetitive thing over and over again. “Oh face this direction, look this way, smile, don’t smile, put your arms like this and your legs like this. Perfect. Ready?” As I said before, I am always up for an adventure, I love not knowing what is going to happen next, and unfortunately that is not what happens during photo shoots. Some photographers just aren’t what I was expecting of them, their personality was great but their photos not so much. Now before I worry you, our company always looks at the photos taken and teaches the photographers how to shoot based on our standards, so you can rest assured that our photographers are top notch. But If you don’t go with us (why would you not???) here are some tips I've picked up to find a great photographer and to get some great photos.

Number one, the locations. Look for colors, those are huge when it comes to photos. Jeremy and I prefer outdoor photos, natural light is always the best. And if you want the best looking photos always try to hit magic hour, thats a half an hour after the sun comes up or goes down. The magic hour photos are always the best, however they can be a bit rushed because you only have a half an hour to get some really great photos. But trust me it’s worth it. Also, choose somewhere comfortable if you are looking for posed shots. The more comfortable you are in the environment the better, if you are going outdoors, be sure to take a minute to enjoy the scenery, it always helps me to calm down for a few minutes before the shoot takes place.

Number 2: the models. Some families are so much fun. They crack jokes and are okay with Jeremy and I having fun with it, as it most of the time makes the shots look better. They cooperate, they make me feel more comfortable telling them what I like, what I think makes them look good and what doesn’t. On top of that having a little fun with the people you are being photographed with. The more natural the smile, the more beautiful you look. Have some fun, don’t be too stiff.

Number three, The type of photo shoot. They kind of photo shoot that we are on makes a world of difference, for example, a photo shoot that is considered dirty or scandalous, isn’t one you will find Jeremy and I at, it’s just not our style and more than that it makes us uncomfortable. But one for family portraits is a blast. Little kids are so adorable, and it’s a really proud feeling when you are able to capture them doing something adorable (because anyone who as kids knows that that adorable moment won’t last long) or fashion shoots. I don’t mean to be mean, but it’s really fun to judge the clothing, mainly on whether or not I would wear it, and how we think it looks on the model. The conference shoots aren’t as fun, but it’s always cool to hear what they are about, to hear the speakers perspectives and the food at them are almost always a big big hit. So I guess what I’m saying is to be aware of the values of your photographer, if they don’t enjoy what they are doing, the photos will not turn out as well as they could have. That doesn’t mean they won’t get the job done, it just means they won’t put their heart and soul into the photos Trust me, that makes a world of difference.

Number four: get a photographer that know what they are doing. Sure now a days everyone has a camera in their pockets, ready for on the go photos. But do you really want crappy photos? The camera quality on any phone is pretty bad in comparison to a real camera. So number one, make sure your photographer has a camera. Then make sure they know how to use it. A photographer that is proud of their work will almost always show you a few shots throughout or after the day, if they don’t, ask, if they say no, then maybe wonder how great your photos look.. It’s tough to find a great photographer, but one key is to look through their portfolio, thats where their best photos can be seen before you choose which photographer to go with.

Overall, you really just have to love what you are doing, and make sure your photographer does too. That’s how to get the best photos. Every photo shoot has it’s good parts and bad parts, but most of the time we are able to work around the bad to get you the best shots possible. It may not be fun 24/7, but then again, what is?

The most important things to remember are: have fun, you’re more beautiful when you have a natural smile and are having fun with what you do. Be aware of the beauty of the location, even if you don’t see it at first, if you have a great photographer you will see it in the pictures. And lastly be passionate about what you are doing, whether it be getting family photos and spending time with your family, or having a conference that needs more outreach for important subjects. Love what you do, it will show through your photos.

STANDING IN LINE AT CES 2019

Google always has some of the coolest stuff when it comes to technology, and everyone wants to get their hands on the newest items. When the come for free it’s just an added bonus. So I’m standing in line at CES (one of the biggest technology conventions here in Vegas, that has attendees and exhibitors come in from all over the world to see what it new) this year for Google to get the free stuff they are giving away. People have been here since 7am! Which is crazy because the convention itself doesn’t start till 9am. I was just thinking, why the heck am I here. Honestly, I’ve seen this Google gumball machine (one of the really cool Google booths) for the last couple years here CES, but I never had time to stop and see what was so cool that the the lines took 2 hours just to get to the front. I’ve always wanted to try but looking at the lines, I was like, nope! But then something changed.

Yesterday me and a friend went on a ride at CES. Google had actually made a coaster ride and let attendees of the convention get on it! It’s a two story building that they built. I thought it was just another ordinary building that I always see at CES, but after seeing my cousin snapchat showing the ride, I was like what the heck!? So of course I had to do it! I mean Google made a freakin roller coaster type ride!!

However, after actually getting on the ride, I was not really impressed, but, it was still interesting, because Google roller coaster! Lol. After the ride we went down the stairs to see our photos. Just like any roller coaster at any amusement park, there were actual photos taken on the ride! So down the stairs we went and we saw the TVs with the pictures that we just took and underneath them there was a scanner to scan your badge (there are qr codes printed on each badge for exhibitors to get information from attendees, sometimes use to note who got their free item to differ people from taking more than they need) to get the photo sent to your email. I of course did it, but sadly my friend didn’t, but that’s another story. There were some free snacks afterward too, but that’s not the best part. After heading back to the car, because it was the end of a very long day, I saw the email notification from Google.

There they are, the photos, Yay… But wait! There’s MORE! Under the photos, it said, “Oh, by the way, enjoy a Google Home Hub a $150 device (a device I just recently bought for my house no less than a month ago) on us!” Then, I see the promo code. I was like wait what!? This can’t be true!! Oh, but it was! I clicked the link and added it to my cart, and boom there it was!! I got a free Google Home Hub at CES!! And all it took was 2 hours waiting in a line.

So, after that experience, I decided to go back the next day and wait (again) like everyone else to get free stuff! (can you blame me? It was some really cool stuff)I loved the epierence (except maybe the 2 hour wait for it) it was fun, so why the heck not, it was definitely worth the wait. Lol. Also, I brought my girlfriend’s badge so I can go back on the ride, alone, and get another Google Home Hub for free ( the promo codes are one per person, and unfortunately she couldn’t make it to CES this year, so I got one for her, like the amazing boyfriend I am). I mean, why not? Haha!

And that my friends, is the story of why I decided to wait like all of these people do, for hours to just get free stuff.

I’m eagerly waiting to see what cool things will await us at next year’s CES, and how long I will have to wait in a line to get the coolest stuff. ‘Till next year!

NEW YEAR, NEW BLOG!

Okay, I know that we are a little late for New Year, but we are still excited to announce a new chapter of our business: We are starting a blog!! This blog will detail things about what we, the A1T Productions & Photography Inc. family, do on a nearly daily basis. Whether it be cool jobs we are working on or just behind the scenes fun, we want to share it with you guys! We can also post some tips and tricks we have learned throughout our adventures, if that’s something you’re interested in.

In this first post, I want to talk a little about who we are, the A1T Productions & Photography Inc. Family. While we do have an about us page, it’s too formal and doesn’t give enough information, in my opinion. So here I thought was a good, little more relaxed way to introduce ourselves.

My name is Celyna (pronounced: Selena) and I am the Vice President of A1T Productions & Photography Inc. I will be the one writing out most of the blog posts and communicating with our guests as that is what I do best. I study within the hospitality industry and my dream is to become an event planner, however, right now, I am running a lot of the behind the scenes business stuff, like writing emails, communicating with clients, assisting on shoots, doing all sorts of things. There is really never a dull moment in my life. I am 19 years old (young I know), but I work very hard to get what I need done. I love all things Disney, and if the opportunity to ever work with Disney comes across me I will jump at it with no hesitation, bonus points if it has anything to do with Beauty and the Beast. I love Dr. Pepper (the soda) and am hardly ever seen without one. There are tons of other little things I can share about myself, but I think I’ll end this portion of talking about myself here. I’m sure that through the future blog posts you guys will get to know me better anyways.

Next, let’s talk about Jeremy, the President of the business. Jeremy is an amazing camera operator and filmmaker, many of our previous clients can attest to that, but that’s not all he can do. Jeremy is a very social person, he loves talking to anyone he can. This is what makes most of our jobs fun. He always leaves believing that our clients are not just clients, but rather they are more like friends. However Jeremy doesn’t call them friends, he calls them family. He is very skilled, and always put his best foot forward. He can have a bit of a temper, but he hardly lets it show, he always does the best he can with what he has, and if he know he can do better he always does. He has a very creative mind, somehow he can always see the big picture and manage to figure out exactly what he needs to achieve the vision he created in his head. It’s actually really cool to see. He is also very adventurous, he hates boring, unless there is good food of course. He loves film making and his job because you never really know what is going to come next. One day we could be filming a proposal, the next a circus act, then a conference, then a famous persons concert. He loves the challenge of making each video different but with the same amazing quality. It’s one of the things I love most about him. But enough about him for now, he will also continue to be in the blog posts, so I’m sure that you will hear more about him later.

Jeremy and I do have other crew (more like family) members that you will be introduced to later on. However for now, I think meeting the two of us is enough.

Last thing you guys should know about us. We pride ourselves on being a family owned business, Jeremy and I are a family, currently he is my boyfriend, soon to be fiance, then husband. We have an amazing team that we treat like family. I know most people say, don’t work with family, your husband or wife because you never know what could happen. But Jeremy and I have weighed the cost versus the benefits, we have faith that we will always be together, but more importantly, even if we aren’t, the business comes first. We care about our clients and our team too much to let anything get in the way of the great things we have created. Even if he and I don’t stay together we are still always going to be family. He and I balance each other out, what he is not good at I am, and what I’m not good at he is. We pick up the slack for one and other. We work better as a team then we ever could apart. Our family has big goals for the future, we hope that you will stick with us as we continue our adventures together.

WHAT DO WE DO?!

In our last post, I was able to let you guys know about our team. And by team I mean Jeremy and I and what we do as a family to make A1T Productions & Photography Inc. a successful business. However, I don’t think that just getting to know us is enough. I know I said I would introduce you guys to some of our other family members, but that’s not what this post is about, well not entirely. Today, I think I should tell you guys a little about what it is that our company does, what we want to be known for, our goals, etc. With that being said, Let’s get down to business (if you didn’t get the disney reference, I am slightly disappointed (yes I know the reference is slightly overused but it just fit in so well))

Now, I know, you guys can all go to the website to hear and see a lot of what we do. But I figure it may be better to read about all that we do in one place rather than clicking through pages that took us hours to make. So, let’s start with what we currently do.

Right now our team is growing and developing skills in relation to videography and photography. Our team consist of people who have been camera operating for ages, some went to school (college) for this and got a degree, and some preferred to learn on the job. This in no way affects their abilities or differs their talents, all members of our team teach one and other. We have a few interns that join us on jobs to get the skills they need to do it on their own, we are very big into teaching. We do all sorts of things with our talents, we do everything from weddings to conferences to documentaries to interviews to live boxing matches. We also have a number of drone operators, which has come in handy before. We love doing whatever fun adventure comes our way. This goes for all of our team members not just Jeremy and I. Our business started about 2 years ago, we may be newer but that doesn’t mean that we don’t know what we are doing. Our reel showcases what we have done, If you like what you see, please contact us. Now that you know what we are currently doing, let’s talk about our future.

For those that don’t know, A1T Productions & Photography Inc. stands for All at 1 Time. We chose this as our meaning, logo, name, everything because we have plans to be an all in house event venue. Meaning that our guests can plan there event at our venue using our team to plan every aspect an event needs. For example, when one begins to plan an event, say a wedding, there are a number of things they need: a venue, food, rental equipment, like tables and chairs, a DJ, sound gear, a photographer, videographer, decorations, and so much more. While most places here in Vegas offer packages like this, most of them outsource, meaning they bring in different companies to do all of these things for them. This means that you are left with different contracts, different people you have to talk to all with different goals and values, the main one being to get your money. This, however is not what we want to do, we want our company to be all in house, the venue, food, music, rentals, and everything else, will come from A1T Productions & Photography Inc. This way you will get a cheaper price, a team that all have the same goal. That goal being to plan a fantastic event that you and your guest will enjoy without the risk of someone flaking or causing any problems. Now not to confuse you, our team will not just be focused on events, we will still be sending out video and photo teams out where they are needed, like outside weddings, secrete proposals, conferences, concerts, and various other event that can come our way. Our team will also be more than happy to be used as an outside vendor, meaning if someone needs only a Dj we can use one of our Djs for that event.

That is our overall goal. Right now, however, our team is pretty small, so, our main focus is to build up each section individually, currently our video team is top notch, our photo team is ever growing and learning new things daily, our dj and Pa systems are in the works to be amazing, and our events staff is starting up soon as well.

Currently our team is located in Las Vegas, but we love to travel. Our video and photo team has traveled to various places already and we can not wait to explore more of them. Our goal for travel is to be able to do as much travel as possible, we don’t just want to work in the states, we would love to travel all around the world to do whatever work comes our way.

Our team, as of now, will continue to grow and learn as much as we can about as many things as we can, currently mostly related to film and photography. THE DAY EVERY LITTLE GIRL DREAMS OF

I know our company currently does more things relating to videography and photography over everything else, but seeing as I don’t do much in relation to that, I decided that I should talk about what I know.

As I mentioned before I work in the hospitality industry, but more specifically I want to be an event planner. I studied how to plan events a lot in high school (I went to a magnet school here in vegas where I was able to take college classes in high school and I studied hospitality, marketing, and entrepreneurship) and even more studying in college (I’m still taking classes in college (I have not graduated yet, but I’m getting there). Throughout the years, I was able to practice planning events for real people, big people and I did many events where I was in charge of large groups of my peers to run all sorts of events like ones about robotics and engineering (subjects I know nothing about other than how to build legos and make copies of signs), and fancy events for big members of our communities like renowned chefs and managers of major hotels here in Vegas (like the Aria, one of my personally favorite hotels here) and I was able to quickly axcell to the top of the class.

In college we got a lot less hands on learning and leaned more towards textbook information. But now as a part of A1T Productions & Photography Inc., I have recently gotten the job to plan a wedding.

I have to say that I am excited to help the bride to be, but I’m also kind of nervous. This is my first event that I will be planning without the supervision of a teacher or superior. This will be my first event done all on my own. So far it’s been a challenge, so much still needs to get done and I feel like the date is coming up in no time at all. I’m confident in my abilities to plan a wedding and I’m confident that things will go well.

Im also super excited to go back to being in the field, doing this all hands on, its what I've been waiting for, dreaming of doing for years. And now, now I have the chance to do it.

It helps a lot that we already have a lot set up like the videographer and photographer and the rentals and the decorations and desserts. But there is still more to go.

I’m still learning new things every day, things I never even thought about before. So it’s interesting to see how things are working out. Later on I’ll post some tips about how to plan a wedding, I’ll show you some of the things I’ve been learning and some key things to look out for.
